An ice pack is a bag filled with ice and applied to the body to reduce swelling or lower temperature. A good ice-pack can cost from $7 and above. It also depends on which ice-pack you want. For example, a shoulder ice-pack can cost from $20- and above. I decided to make an ice-pack out of hand sanitizer inside a Ziploc bag. I chose to do this type of ice-pack because it was easy for me to access the materials needed.
Ingredients & Steps
The materials that will be needed to make this ice-pack is hand sanitizer and a Ziploc bag. Also for decorations you will need silver glitter, brilliant sequins, thin paper cloth, decorative rhinestones, clear tape, and krazy glue. First you add about 3/4 of an 8 oz bottle of hand sanitizer into your Ziploc bag. Then, you add your glitter and brilliant sequins. You next seal the bag but also apply the clear tape to the edges of the bag just in case of leaking. Then you get your thin paper cloth and try to get the size of the ziploc bag. You will need this so when applying the ice-pack it wont be too cold. apply krazy glue on the sides to secure the material around the ice-pack. To decorate it, again you will get your krazy glue and use it to glue the rhinestones onto the cloth. Now you are finish. Place it in the freezer for a couple of hours and use when necessary. Remember the cloth is applied right before using the ice-pack. Do not freeze with it. I chose to do this ice-pack because it was easier for me and had access to most of the materials I used for a low price.

Making an ice-pack was actually fun. I enjoyed doing this especially when I know that at some point I'm going to actually need this. I can use my ice pack for example if I have a fever or headache. I can also use it whenever I need help reducing pain or swelling part in my body. It is very important to have an ice-pack at home in various situations because the coldness slows down circulation, reduces inflammation, muscle spasm, and pain.
